Hooky, a Tidio alternative for sites you build with AI
Tidio combines live chat, an AI agent (Lyro) and automations, with a strong e-commerce slant. Hooky is simpler: a chat bubble for the sites you build with AI, installed with one prompt, with no conversation quota. Here is how to choose.
What Tidio does
Tidio offers a customer service platform: live chat, tickets, email, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp, the Lyro AI agent that answers from your FAQ or your website, automated scenarios (Flows) and e-commerce integrations, Shopify in particular. There are mobile and desktop apps.
Its plans are capped in billable conversations per month: 50 on the free plan, 100 on Starter, up to 2,000 on Growth. Lyro and Flows have their own quotas.
Who Hooky is a better fit for
- You have several sites: Hooky covers ten for €9 a month, fifty for €29, all in the same inbox. At Tidio, managing several projects is part of the Plus plan.
- You don’t want to count your conversations: Hooky has no quota, whatever the plan.
- You build your sites with AI: a prompt to paste into Lovable, Bolt, v0, Cursor, Claude or ChatGPT, and your AI can even create the account by reading our llms.txt.
- You’d rather answer yourself, simply, from your phone, with an email follow-up when the visitor has left.

When Tidio is still the better choice
- You run an online store (Shopify in particular) and want e-commerce actions in the chat.
- You want an AI agent to answer common questions for you. Hooky doesn’t have one.
- You want automated scenarios (proactive messages, lead capture), or WhatsApp and Instagram in the same inbox.
- Your team has more than five people on the same site.
Switching from Tidio to Hooky
Remove the Tidio code from your site (or the plugin, on WordPress or Shopify), then paste your site’s Hooky prompt. Your history stays at Tidio. Try Hooky for free on one site before deciding.
