Hooky, a Crisp alternative for sites you build with AI
Crisp is a complete customer support platform, with an AI chatbot, a knowledge base and multichannel messaging. Hooky does one thing: a chat bubble for the sites you build with AI, installed with one prompt, with replies in your pocket. Here is how to choose, without bias.
What Crisp does
Crisp is a very complete customer messaging platform, founded in France: a chat bubble for your site, a shared inbox, mobile and desktop apps and, depending on the plan, email, WhatsApp, Instagram or Messenger in the same inbox, an AI chatbot and agent, a knowledge base, a CRM, ticketing and hundreds of integrations. It’s a tool built for support teams.
Crisp bills per workspace: each workspace has its own subscription, and a new workspace starts on the free plan.
Who Hooky is a better fit for
- You build your sites with AI (Lovable, Bolt, v0, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT…): Hooky installs by pasting a prompt, and your AI can even create the account by itself by reading our llms.txt.
- You have several small sites: the Creator plan covers ten sites for €9 a month, and they all land in a single inbox, on your phone.
- You just want to talk to your visitors, not set up a support platform: the bubble, notifications, an email follow-up when the visitor has left, and that’s it.
- You want to count a few numbers (signups, orders) without another analytics tool:
Hooky.track, in one line.
Hooky vs Crisp, point by point

When Crisp is still the better choice
- You have a support team handling lots of conversations, with assignment, internal notes and tickets.
- You want an AI agent to answer for you, fed by your knowledge base. Hooky doesn’t have one: you do the answering.
- Your customers also reach you on WhatsApp, Instagram or by email, and you want it all in one inbox.
- You need an unbranded bubble, or deep integrations (CRM, Shopify, Zapier…).
In those cases Crisp does far more than Hooky, and that’s fine: it’s not the same job.
Switching from Crisp to Hooky
Remove the Crisp snippet from your site (or ask your AI to), then paste your site’s Hooky prompt. The two bubbles share nothing: your conversation history stays in Crisp. Hooky is free for one site: try it on one of yours before deciding.
